Successful candidates will embrace our brand attributes of warmth, trust, and responsible banking, and possess a commitment to collaboration, service, and inclusivity.Role PurposeFTJ's Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for managing the commercial functions of the business branches and sales offices in the Subsidiary, ensuring the development and implementation of business strategies focused on increasing the number of clients around the country and achieving consistent growth in the volume of the portfolio, and maintaining the quality at levels to achieve the financial goals in the institution. The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for ensuring the correct training of all the commercial staff under his/her line management with a high level of technical competence.As a member of the Management Board (MB) and the management team of the Institution, the CCO shares responsibility for performance and the general activities of FTJ and participates in making decisions on strategic issues for the subsidiary with the rest of the MB.AccountabilitiesGeneralAs part of the MB participates in the development and preparation of the subsidiary strategic plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.Lead the organization's efforts to create an institution of exceptional customer experience, ensuring that brand attributes and values are key guiding principles for the entire subordinated team and are consistently transcended to all key stakeholders.Ensure the provision of high quality financial services to our clients.Achieve sustainability, growth and customer service objectives through the development and innovation of products and services.Driving the efforts of the organization to offer a unique service for our clients,ensuring that the attributes and values of the brand are the key principles governing all the team.Manage and direct the commercial team in the implementation of financial products, ensuring the efficient maintenance of the operating model.Accountable for ensuring delivery of high quality financial services to the clientele; achieve sustainability, growth, and customer service objectives.StrategyDevelop together with their own Team - and also in coordination with other functions and the rest of the MB - the annual business plan ensuring compliance with business objectives.Develop and facilitate planning across the CCO environment. Working closely with the COO, develop annual sales plan together with subordinated staff, ensure targets achievement. Direct the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budget based on broad organizational goals and growth objectives.Develop and propose recommendations for business model, ensuring development of tools for business efficiency and business performance.Create the structure and the processes required to manage the commercial activities of the organization and its projected growth.Develop the expense budget for the Commercial Staff.Establish the general lines of the Marketing Plan, working closely with the Marketing Department and Marketing Manager:Conduct market research, competitive analysis and continuous assessment of the internal strengths and weaknesses.Based on the above, develop plans for dissemination and expansion. Identify new opportunities regarding markets, regions and clients.Implement programs to achieve the organizational goals and objectives.Determine the most appropriate way to communicate and to send messages to the target market.Prepare and maintain a management development plan, including a succession plan for the functions / departments under their supervision.Establish commercial policies consistent with the Chief Executive Officer's broad policies and objectives and ensure their execution.BusinessMonitor the client portfolio.Ensure appropriate business verification to support a quality loan portfolio and appropriate sustainable growth.Open new Branches and Sales Offices.Lead and supervise the Regional Managers.Regularly and systematically evaluate business results and report to the rest of the Management Board and Management Team.Provide information and report regularly about performance and development of the Commercial Area to the FTJ Board of Directors, FINCA Impact Finance, and other stakeholders or partners.Ensure that all activities and operations of the commercial area of the institution are conductedaccording to the commercial laws and rules of the business, including the company Code of Conduct.Ensure efficient operating model maintenance.Review and evaluate regular reports of all activities, including staffing, loans, write-offs, and audits to meet regional sustainability and performance objectives.Maintain a sound plan of corporate organization, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.Ensure that risk is effectively addressed in all aspects of the business.Evaluate the results of overall business regularly and systematically and report these results to the Chief Executive Officer.Manage the internal resources (software, administration and human resources) for efficient but also client-friendly branch and sales office development.PEOPLE & LEADERSHIPCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, training and development of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Develop and install procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization.Needs analysis and training tracking for all staff in the area.Establishment of the remuneration policy and incentives of Commercial Staff, working together with the company Human Resources Committee (HRC) and HR Manager.Manage, motivate, supervise and develop the Commercial Staff countrywide.Ensure that the functions, scope and responsibilities of all the commercial team are defined and understood.Job RequirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent work experience is required, Master's degree preferredExperienceMinimum of 10 years hands-on experience working in banking or microfinance with at least 3 years' experience in comparable positions in terms of responsibility.At least 5 years' experience in leadership rolesKnowledge and SkillsExperience in developing and implementing strategic/operational plans for financial institutionsExcellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of business transformation issues, call center operations and underwritingDemonstrated leadership and coordination of resources to deliver in line with a single cohesive strategyStrong business management and negotiation skillsExperience in managing and motivating a large staffProven ability to delegate and to empower teamsExcellent interpersonal, communication and training skillsExcellent technical report writing skills and computer literacyLanguage SkillsFluency in English and Tajik and knowledge of Russian is required.Travel requirementsAvailability to travel up to 35 % of the timePhysical DemandsAbility to travel in economy class when traveling by air or railHow to applyInterested candidates can apply in the Careers section via the link: CCO FINCA TajikistanOnly online applications will be considered.
