Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is looking for a qualified, capable, flexible and motivated Nursing Team Supervisor to join its GBAO PHC Project in Khorog, Tajikistan.
Main responsibilities:
Plan, organize and evaluate nursing activities and coordinate the nursing team.
Ensure continuity and quality of patient care according to MSF protocols and universal health standards.
Perform nursing or anesthetist duties when required to support the team and optimize available resources.
Implement and supervise compliance with medical, hygiene and infection prevention protocols.
Organize team schedules, annual leave and staff coverage.
Monitor staff performance and identify training and development needs.
Supervise the management of medicines, medical supplies and equipment, including stock levels, storage, inventories and expired medicines.
Ensure that staff using medical devices are properly trained and qualified.
Ensure cleaning and basic maintenance of medical equipment are carried out according to procedures.
Report equipment problems or malfunctions to the appropriate MSF service.
Coordinate administrative activities, patient documentation, transfers and other required records.
Collect and review patient data, statistics and other project information.
Prepare regular reports and provide feedback to the Medical Focal Point.
Support effective decision-making through accurate and timely information.
Requirements:
Diploma or qualification as a nurse or anesthetist is essential.
Minimum 2 years of previous professional experience.
Experience with MSF or other NGOs is an advantage.
Experience working in developing countries is an advantage.
Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Internet.
Tajik and Russian languages are essential.
English and local language skills are an advantage.
Willingness to learn English.
Strong teamwork, communication and organizational skills.
Flexible, responsible and able to work under pressure.
