Teach For Tajikistan is a national educational initiative working to expand access to quality education for children across the Republic of Tajikistan. The program is being developed by citizens of Tajikistan in alignment with national education priorities and the National Education Development Strategy through 2030. It aims to attract and prepare talented university graduates and young professionals who are ready to dedicate two years to teaching in schools, particularly in rural and underserved regions of the country. Teach For Tajikistan sees its work as a complementary contribution to the national education system and to the development of human capital in Tajikistan. The initiative is also informed by the experience of the global Teach For All network.
Teach For Tajikistan is seeking a Head of Recruitment to play a key role in the launch and institutional development of the program. This is both a strategic and operational role. The person in this position will be responsible for designing, launching, and continuously strengthening the recruitment function of the organization, with a primary focus on attracting, identifying, selecting, and supporting strong candidates for the Teach For Tajikistan Fellowship.
The Head of Recruitment will build the overall recruitment system for the program, including outreach, candidate attraction, candidate journey design, application management, interviews, assessment activities, and final selection processes. The role requires close coordination with the Chief Executive Officer and the marketing function to ensure that recruitment strategy, public messaging, and candidate engagement are fully aligned with the organization’s mission, communication strategy, and brand.
A major priority of this role is to help form the inaugural cohort of Teach For Tajikistan participants and establish a strong, transparent, and annually repeatable recruitment model. The Head of Recruitment will work to build and strengthen recruitment channels through universities, alumni communities, education networks, professional communities, digital platforms, and other relevant partnerships. The role may also support recruitment for organizational staff when needed.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Recruitment will:
develop and implement the recruitment strategy for Teach For Tajikistan;
help define the profile of program participants and priority candidate segments;
build and maintain partnerships with universities, educational institutions, alumni networks, professional communities, and other relevant stakeholders;
organize presentations, information sessions, meetings, and recruitment events;
identify and engage candidates through professional networks and digital platforms, including LinkedIn;
manage candidate communications and support applicants throughout the recruitment journey;
coordinate application review, interviews, assessment activities, and selection stages;
track candidate data, recruitment funnel metrics, and process performance;
propose improvements to recruitment systems, candidate experience, and selection processes;
collaborate closely with leadership, staff members, volunteers, partners, and the broader Teach For All recruitment community.

This role is suitable for someone who can represent the mission of Teach For Tajikistan publicly, build trust with diverse stakeholders, and attract talented individuals who are motivated to contribute to educational equity in Tajikistan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher;
preferably 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas: recruitment or talent acquisition, project management, partnership development, education programs, youth programs, communications, community engagement, or event organization;
strong professional proficiency in Tajik, Russian, and English, both written and spoken;
ability to conduct professional correspondence, prepare official documents, deliver presentations, and communicate effectively with national and international partners;
strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
ability to build partnerships and professional networks;
strategic thinking, initiative, attention to detail, and readiness to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
willingness to travel regularly within Tajikistan.

Working Conditions
Location: Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan
Employment type: Full-time
Contract type: Employment contract
Contract duration: 1 year, with possibility of extension
Work schedule: Six-day work week
Travel: Regular travel within Tajikistan
Salary: 7,000 TJS net per month
Probation period: Up to 3 months
