Financial Risk Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Risk Management: Oversee the identification, assessment, and management of financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and liquidity risk.Market Risk Management: Analyze market risks related to interest rate fluctuations, foreign exchange risk, and economic shocks, providing strategic recommendations to mitigate these risks.Stress Testing: Conduct annual stress testing to assess the company's ability to withstand different economic and financial stress scenarios, such as market volatility, interest rate changes, and currency fluctuations. This will be used to ensure the company can handle unexpected economic downturns.Sensitive Analysis: Conduct biannual sensitive analyses to evaluate the impact of significant changes in key financial variables (such as interest rates, exchange rates, etc.) on the organizations risk profile and to adjust strategies accordingly.Liquidity Risk Management: Continuously monitor liquidity risks and develop strategies to ensure the company can manage liquidity effectively under both normal and stressed market conditions.Comprehensive Risk Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on all financial risks (credit, market, liquidity), including analysis of stress testing and sensitive analysis results, for senior management and the Risk Committee.Risk Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain financial risk models and tools to evaluate risk exposure across various risk types, ensuring capital adequacy, and making recommendations to optimize risk-adjusted returns.Risk Model Development: Develop and enhance risk models and methodologies to accurately assess and quantify credit, market, and liquidity risks, and ensure that the company's financial risk posture is properly understood and managed.Mitigation Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with other departments to implement risk mitigation measures and ensure that risk control frameworks align with the companys broader financial strategy.Credit Assessment & Limit Management Conduct thorough credit evaluationsreviewing financial statements, ratings, and industry contextto determine credit limits; monitor borrower and portfolio concentration, escalating any breaches of thresholds.EarlyWarning & Covenant Monitoring: Track key risk signals (e.g., covenant breaches, deteriorating credit metrics, rising delinquencies) and trigger timely remediation or escalation when thresholds are metCredit Stress Scenarios & Loss Forecasting: Design credit-specific stress scenarios (e.g., default rate spikes, sector downturns), measure potential losses using PD/LGD/EAD estimates, and embed these insights into capital adequacy planning and risk reportingREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Higher education in economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial risk management (including credit, market, and liquidity risk management), stress testing, and conducting sensitive analyses.Skills & Knowledge:o Strong understanding of risk management methodologies and techniques.o Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools.o Experience in market risk management (interest rates, currency, commodities, etc.).o Knowledge of stress testing methodologies and frameworks.o Familiarity with international risk management standards (e.g., Basel III, ISO 31000).o Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.o Ability to effectively communicate complex financial risk concepts to senior management and the Risk Committee.Languages: Proficiency in Tajik and Russian is required, with English being an advantage.Skills:o Proficiency in risk management software and advanced Excel skills.o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.Personal Attributes:o Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.o Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.o Effective time-management and prioritization skills.o Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.The company offers a challenging job in a multinational organization, work across the global network!
