Environmental, Social and Governance Specialist
The First MicroFinance Bank is looking for a highly accurate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist for its head office in Dushanbe.
The incumbent’s role is to develop, implement, and manage the Bank’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and initiatives. This position is integral to advancing the Bank’s commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices, effectively integrating ESG principles, enhancing ESG performance and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The ESG Specialist aims to identify, assess, and manage Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks that could impact the Bank.
Main responsibilities:
- Supervise Operational Risk Management and assist the CRO in regular review of operational risk policies and procedures;
- Supervise annual processes review and risk self-assessment by all departments of the Bank and serve as a focal point for collecting and reviewing process flows;
- Supervise coherent and timely reporting and management of IT and Information Security risks;
- Regularly prepare operational and IT and IS risk reports for ALCO and BRMC meetings based on the information collected and provided by Branch Risk Officers and IT Risk Officer;
- Assist in development of the list of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and provide updates on KRIs on a regular basis.
- Provide the list with required manual and training to Risk Analyst for collection and reporting of information about KRIs.
- Lead collection and analysis of external findings about operational risk events and initiate surprise checks and other types of reviews to detect similar vulnerabilities in the FMFB operational function;
- Supervise fulfillment of Business Continuity Management requirements;
- Assess performance of and provide required training for all subordinated employees.
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
1. At least Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Banking, preferably Master’s degree;
2. At least 4 years of banking experience, preferably in operations;
3. Computer skills, in particular, strong skills in MS Excel;
4. Fluent in Tajik, Russian and English languages;
5. Strong analytical skills;
6. Team player with good communication skills;
7.Used to setting and fulfilling deadlines.
